RV Boondocking Prep — Perishable Food Stock-Up

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umn_LeBDpcs
When RVers talk about preparing for a boondocking trip (camping off the grid without hook-ups), the most common topics are power and water management. But what about perishable food?! Here's how we prepare for an extended trip to the boonies by stocking up on perishable foods that would normally go bad before we could eat it all. RV Roof Leak FAIL & Water Damage! Inspect Your Dicor!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3eOwbJsGdA
Water leaking into an RV is an insidious threat, with the potential to cause extensive damage before it's ever detected. Routine checks of your Dicor self-leveling lap sealant are the best precaution! The RV featured in this video was purchased used by good friends of ours, and it didn't take long for it to become apparent that water had been leaking into an unprotected seam for some time. Routine checking and patching of the Dicor self-leveling lap sealant is the best way to prevent a potentially (very) expensive headache. Introducing the Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar, Plus a Special Deal!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzyeEgImvY0
After a stellar experience with our Sterling non-binding tow bar, we couldn't wait to try out Roadmaster's newest, coolest tow bar EVER. It's the Nighthawk, and we've arranged a special deal on it for you! SPECIAL DEAL ON NIGHTHAWK FOR RVGEEKS VIEWERS ONLY: Roadmaster has agreed to offer RVgeeks viewers a special package when they buy a Nighthawk factory direct. To place your order, call Roadmaster at (800) 669-9690 then select option 2 for sales. This $89 VALUE will keep your beautiful new Nighthawk secure and protected, like we keep ours. And FREE SHIPPING is included, too! Thanks to Roadmaster for giving us the opportunity to premiere and test out this hot new product. Visit their website to learn more: http://roadmasterinc.com Binding while trying to disconnect a toad (towed car) from the motorhome is a common problem, and the primary reason we upgraded from our old Blue Ox tow bar in the first place. Since then, we tried to make our Roadmaster Sterling bind at every opportunity. So far, we have not been able to do it, even when disconnecting on steep inclines or sharp turns (or both at the same time). The New Nighthawk uses the same patented non-binding Freedom Latch as the Sterling, so we weren't the least bit surprised that it won't bind either. But at night, it's a whole different animal, and surely the safest tow bar ever made. Besides comfort factors, like not sleeping at an angle or having water pool up at the far end of the shower, most RV refrigerators have to be kept close to level to operate properly. Finding the most level spot to set up camp, then getting level once you're parked on it, can be a guessing game. Not any more! Join us at http://TheRVgeeks.com for more great RVing content! Full-Time RVers since April, 2003, we share DIY (do it yourself) RV maintenance, repair, travel, upgrade and operational tips & tricks. Many RVers are eager to learn more about using, maintaining and caring for their rigs. We hope our experience can help others go DIY, saving time & money, plus the satisfaction of a job well done.
